Portal Updates

New tab

A new tab is available on the Phenix Portal for both Channels and Rooms. The new tab is called “Streams” when viewing a Channel and is called “Members” when viewing a Room. The new tab shows all active streams in a Channel or members of a Room and is refreshed every 15 seconds.

Updated doc site links

We've updated links throughout the Portal so all user documentation links now point to the new documentation site.

Local time option

Timestamps throughout the Portal can now be shown in the local time for each user or in UTC, based on the setting in the time format toggle accessed via the bottom of main menu. This menu also provides a link to the portal release notes from the version number.

New publishing warning

If a user is publishing using a (now deprecated) "legacy inline wildcard token," a notice is shown on the Channel's Streams page. Users that see this notice should contact Phenix support for assistance in updating their publishing workflow.

Auto-updated of tokens and links

While the user is creating a token in Portal, the token is automatically updated on every change, so the Generate button has been removed.

Meet Phenix Co-Founder & Chairman of the Board of Directors

Scott Paseltiner

Co-founder and Chairman of Phenix, has a long history in the financial markets both as an independent trader/market-maker at the Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) for over 16 years and as a “serial” entrepreneur of start up technology and biotechnology companies for nearly three decades. He has either helped found, lead, finance or serve on the boards of nearly two dozen companies, and he has taken companies from concept to acquisition by publicly listed companies on several occasions. 

In 1972, Mr. Paseltiner graduated from the Wharton School of Finance with a B.S. in Economics, and he received his J.D. from the George Washington University School of Law in 1975. He currently lives in the Washington D.C. area with his wife of 45 years, Ellen, but he remains an avid Chicago Cubs fan, especially after having attended games six and seven of the Cubs historic 2016 World Series championship campaign in Cleveland with Stefan.
